This standout building on Manhattan’s Upper West Side is known for its curved facade. To relate to that distinctive architectural language, we designed garden elements for the penthouse with curves and rounded corners. The planter walls also feature machined panels with details that add a three-dimensional element to the facing.
We developed the planter system with a stepping effect that carries along the entire perimeter for a natural flow. The planters are designed with subtle upper and lower levels, one tucking into the next, to give the appearance of plants growing in a terraced formation.
Final touches include storage hidden in custom-made benches with gas-assisted lifts and an ORE Cylinder Fire Pit for cozy evenings gazing at the city lights.
