FAQ

We are a wholesale manufacturer. Our customers typically include landscape architects, architects, general contractors, design/build firms, and other members of the landscape architecture and design trade. While we don’t sell products directly to residential clients, we’re happy to assist in coordinating with a point-of-contact in your area.

If you are a member or representative of the trade and would like to see pricing for our standard products, contact us for our most up-to-date wholesale pricing catalog. For custom projects, including public art and sculptural installations, contact our project management team at info@ore.design

Yes, we do. As a collaborative partner to landscape architects and designers, we’ve enjoyed working on projects of all sizes and scope with precision and personalization for over 15 years. Although we’re proud of the design and engineering on our standard products, custom design and fabrication – along with project collaboration – have been at the heart of our business since our beginning. We bring extensive expertise in metalworking, design, and the landscape architecture industry to the table, with an attitude that anything can be done and done well. “I’m wired to do something new and different all the time, says Founder and President Shane Larson. “’No’ does not exist here.”

The FŭSE™ Planting System is a library of standard connections, profiles, and options that can be applied in completely unique combinations to achieve specific designs of planters, edging, and planting trays. FŭSE was developed as a design resource for landscape architects. In fact, the system is a collaborative creation between Ore and several landscape architect firms from around the country who were looking for a reliable, proven system that could be used to create complex and creative designs with ease. The system provides solutions to achieve specific designs and address complex site conditions.

Available on over 30 of our standard products and variations, our Quick Ship program is our commitment to manufacture and ship products within 2-3 weeks from the date of ordering.
Exclusions and limitations may apply.

We manufacture all products – standard, custom, and FŭSE™ – in-house at our manufacturing facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. We prioritize regional production to promote responsible and sustainable manufacturing methods. This way, we are able to better develop, regulate, and maintain lean operation processes for more efficient and reliable manufacturing and shipping. In most cases, our domestic manufacturing contributes to Regional Priority LEED© points.

Our standard planters are manufactured with your choice of marine-grade aluminum, mild steel, cor-ten steel, stainless steel, and bronze alloys, depending on your needs. Some products, with variations or options, include natural wood elements, granite, tempered glass, Dekton®, Prodema Prodex®, Reider Öko Skin®, Thermory®, and Trespa®.

We have a dedicated packaging and shipping team who will coordinate shipping to any location, internationally. Exact shipping quotes are provided at time of order. Shipping estimates will be quoted during the design and development process.

All of our planter products are able to support indoor planting with our standard waterproofing option, watertight connections, optional drip trays, and integrated siphon tubing. Ore fire pits are for external use only. See our fire pit FAQ, below for more details on fire pit installation, service, and operation.

Our standard lead time includes all project milestones, from the time of request for quote through pricing, shop drawing, manufacturing, and shipping and delivery. Although dependent on the size and scope of project, as well as the current workload, our standard turnarounds on each step are as follows:

RFQ and Estimate: 1-2 business days
Shop Approval to Shipping: Standard product is typically manufactured within 1-6 weeks from order date. Custom and FŭSE™ product vary, depending on size, quantity, and complexity, but typically ship within 1-6 weeks after shop-drawing approval.
Quick Ship: The majority of standard product is eligible for Quick Ship within 2-3 weeks from date of order.
Expedited Shipping: We offer expedited services and guaranteed delivery options. Please inform your Ore project manager of expedited shipping needs at time of order. We price these services on a case-by-case basis.

All Ore fire pits are for external use only. A qualified installer, service agency, or licensed plumber must perform the fire pit gas connection installation and service. Improper installation, adjustment, alteration, service, or maintenance can cause injury or property damage. Please read installation, operation, and maintenance instructions carefully before installing or servicing fire pit equipment. A cover will be provided and must be used on any Ore fire pit that contains an electronic ignition system. Failure to use a cover or to follow instructions in the fire pit manual voids the warranty. Ore accepts no liability for damages that may occur when operating fire pits.

Ore Design, Inc. manufactures and tests all products to meet the highest quality standards. We are dedicated to providing our clients with the best products and responsive customer service, and we strive to resolve claims to our clients’ satisfaction. To that end, we offer limited warranty coverage where feasible. We also work closely with clients to inspect and evaluate damages or defects, providing repair and replacement options to ensure optimal results. And, in cases where repair or replacement is not possible, we will work diligently to find a positive resolution.

Our full warranty is available above, including details about specific products, finishes, and materials.
