We work with holistic design principles in mind, focusing on seamless integration with architecture, sustainability, and the well-being of those who interact with our designs. As a collaborator, OJB Landscape Architecture, is also known for their holistic, responsive approach, which was as evident as ever when they reached out to us to work on 330 Madison. Built in 1964, this skyscraper next to Grand Central Station underwent a complete renovation nearly 50 years later. We helped facilitate the brilliant transformation of a mechanical floor into a wraparound terrace and event space.

Industrial Grit Meets Contemporary Elegance

Designers chose an industrial theme for the 16th floor, relating the new look to its historical use. We carried that theme throughout the planter and pergola system with exposed stainless fasteners, industrial mesh, and embedded lighting that feel like part of the building.

In addition to the pergola and planters, we provided bench supports and an elevated workstation with integrated USB ports and GFC outlets. Extensive plantings form a textured, stepped meadow that blends into areas for working and socializing, offering a relaxing, natural retreat in the middle of a bustling
urban environment.

ORE conducted a full structural review to meet New York City requirements for this project. We engineered structural attachments and coordinated with the installing contractor to ensure an efficient installation of a complex pergola. Ore provided onsite support during installation by our lead fabrication expert.
